I'd have written sooner if I could have. Unfortunately, this past Friday night
the hijinks's service provider went down and didn't come back up until this
evening. This means I didn't get any email until tonight and nobody was able to
access any site hosted by hijinks (not to mention the fact that I couldn't surf
the net, period.). Life without the net was frustrating. If it weren't for
Freecell I don't know what I'd have done.
Saturday afternoon I went out to the new restaraunt at the Fairmont Hotel, The
Grill. Dax works there and wanted to go to eat at the fancy restaraunt with
friends to celebrate his 21st birthday. Dax and Derik left to go perform that
evening and their roommate and I went to their dance studio to get things
ready for the surprise party being thrown for him later that night. Everything
went fine and we had a good time. Joey went but unfortunately nobody else
came that said they'd come (from Into the Woods). She asked if she'd
know anyone else and I told her who told me was coming. Well, they didn't. What
can ya do? One thing I can say about that evening is that, of all men in drag
I'd seen in my life (like I'm some expert when it comes to men in drag?),
Derik was certainly the most recent.
Anyway, I really did have a good time. but there was something odd about
throwing a birthday party for someone when you're celebrating your own birthday
just a few hours later.
Sunday was day 3 without the net. It also was my 21st birthday. I didn't do
much Sunday. We all went out to dinner, though. Joey came too.
I started a six week Marine Biology course at De Anza today. It's about four
hours a day on Mon/Tue/Wed for six weeks. It seems to be a fairly easy course
and will help get some much needed general education classes out of the way.
I want a tight knit relationship.
I got Chinese food tonight and my fortune cookie reads:
You will have good luck in the winter.
If that's true, the winter couldn't come any sooner.
