Side Show
I had a lot of fun tonight. People came over and we watched the ceremony, hung
out, ate cake (Joey brought a BEAUTIFUL hand painted cake that looked like a
Playbill with logos of many of this years nominated shows. We took pictures,
I'll post them sometime), listened to CDs...
Because I had people coming over tonight, I had no way of getting out of the
inevitable task of cleaning my room completely once and for all. I did. It's
not quite immaculate, but it's pretty damn clean. I'm a very happy camper.
I honestly had 100 times more fun tonight watching the Tonys than I did last
year at Radio City. It was fantastic, last year, don't get me wrong. I'm very
glad I went and have fond memories and all. But, this year, with lots of
friends, a lot of people I really enjoy being with, not burning up at
Radio City, being able to get up at commercials, yell at the TV, laugh,
applaud, make fun of, etc. at will, and that cake... all that and more certainly
make me very happy I decided to postpone my NYC trip. :)
This summer's project looks to be finding a barn and putting on a show. Some
friends of mine and I are going to attempt to produce Falsettos in September.
We start talking numbers and strategies tomorrow. If you're in the area and
are interested, let me know. If you have money, ideas, money, contrinutions,
or money... let me know! By the way, if you'd like to fund this production, let
me know.
Joey's going to Italy for a week and a half. I guess it'll give me more time to
work on getting the show on it's feet. I'm gonna miss her.
