T minus one day and counting. Wednesday night is the beginning of
Threepenny's tech rehearsal week. The four
shows open on the 16th. We're supposedly recording music again
Wednesday morning, just in time for our crew run through. I just
hope it works out and everything is okay. It's pretty much the last
thing I have to do... soon things are out of my hands. That's not
as easy as it may sound. This project has been my "baby" since
early December. Four months later I have to let go, step back,
and see the product of all the work...
The little things that I have to get done are coming together, slowly.
I don't know why it has to be so difficult to get hold of people. I leave
messages on answering machines, with human beings, pagers, I send smoke
signals, and release carrier pigeons. But, no, it's still impossible
to reach someone you need to talk to when you really need to talk
to them. I'm bitter.
Woods is going well. Lines are close to being learned. Now it's
more just needing rehearsal time to flesh things out. Unfortunately
I stop rehearsing on Wednesday, just in time for Threepenny tech.
Then Notre Dame has their spring break the week of Threepenny's
run. Here's hoping that show falls together when everyone gets back
just in time for that tech week.
I'm blowing up red balloons about this possible New York gig. For those
of you who don't know what I mean by "red balloons" and have this huge
urge to find out, email me.
I assume most of the people reading this already know. Anyway, no news
about it yet. When I know more and can say more, you'll know...
