mark, my words
                        February 5, 1999

So auditions for this Spring's selection of productions at State came and went today. I gave what I think was a very good audition and I'm happy about that much. But three of the four production's call back lists went up this evening and my name wasn't on any of them. So it doesn't look good, this time. We'll see what happens.

Like I told you before, Julie and I have been talking a lot over the past few months, and even more so over the last couple weeks. I talked to her on the phone for the first time in so many years and now it's like it was just yesterday instead of over four years since I've really seen her. But hopefully it won't be too long now. She's coming back up in March, then there's Spring Break and summer isn't too far away after that. Plus she's close enough that I could drive down and see her. And seeing as how it doesn't look like I'll be in any productions this semester I'll have the time to do it just the same. I'm really enjoying being able to talk to her and get back in touch with how she's doing. I'm giddy. Can you tell? It's weird how little things from way back then (okay, not WAY back then but time is relative and to me it was long ago) come back to us so quickly. Sorry, I'll stop babbling. Don't hate me because I'm happy. It doesn't happen all that often... :)

This is so not a photo of Julie lying with a dog. Promise. The great thing is, even if it is, I'll be gone a whole week before she can yell at me for putting it up!

Oh, I opened up some of fosse.com on Monday. I'll be able to get the rest up by the end of the month. I think.

For the past two weeks, Breton and I have been working on a new scene and he's got a great new monologue, for the ACTF competition next week up in Humboldt. Our headshots are supposed to come back from being reproduced down in Los Angeles tomorrow. Cross your fingers that UPS comes through or we'll have to wait Monday for them to come before we can make the trek up to festival. We'll all be away through Sunday evening.

Tomorrow I get to get everythihg ready for next week including a haircut and voice lessons to work on and get my audition song, "What More Can I Say?" from Falsettos, recorded.

Oscar nominations come out Tuesday morning but I'll be away from the computer all week so I'll give you my Oscar nomination predictions now and we can see how close I came when I get back...
