Sigh. This beta Blogger I've been using has had some problems of late and I haven't been able to blog much. I'm blogging manually and hope to have the problem solved tomorrow.
Long story short: escrow is proceeding pretty close to normally. I will remove most of my contingencies tomorrow and am really only waiting for Homeowners Association Documents to read over before I remove the rest. A bunch of prospective tenants have been taking a look at the house I'm renting now and very soon I hope that my landlord will be able to officially rent the place to one of them so I can be legally let out of my lease.
I've packed quite a bit. This place is begining to look a lot emptier lately! I've eBay'ed a bunch of furniture and misc. items that I just can't bring to my new place. Kinda ironic that one year ago this week I was hoping to move out of my parents house and buy a massive waterbed when here I am moving out of a house I'm renting by myself and into a house I'm in the process of buying.
I had a great Christmas. My family went over to Mer's parent's house to celebrate on Christmas day. Scott has been helping me fix up this place and get it ready for me to move out of. He's also been renovating his house and practicing to be able to help me redo mine when I move in. At least that's how I see it!
When I'm all settled into the new place my plan is to get a new computer and turn this one into a webcam/mp3 server. So the webcam will hopefully soon be back in all its glory after an eight month hiatus! 12/27/2000 10:59:02 PM .:. | Discuss
Today was home inspection and pest inspection day. Very good reports for both. No termites.
Very few problems that can't be fixed quick and cheaply. Now I need to get all the paperwork read and okayed and start removing contingencies. I gave a little over thirty days notice to my current landlord this evening and hopefully tht will work out without a hitch. I'll begin selling some stuff (yay Ebay!), to make some cash and save some space, packing the rest, and planning exactly what I'm going to do to fix up the condo New sink? Cabinets? Ladies and gentleman, after seeing nearly three dozen properties over the last several months, two and a half bids, and more than a few headaches... I am now in escrow. If all goes as planned I will be the proud owner of a one bedroom, one bath condo in Campbell, California on January 11, 2001.
