So the SpeakOut.com VoteMatch site proclaims that, as expected, I'm a Liberal-Leaning Libertarian. They say that I agree with 95% (100% of Personal and 77% of Economic) of Harry Browne, Libertarian candidate for President. Scarily enough, however, they claim I agree with 67% (21% of Personal and 95% of Economic) of the Bush/Cheney ticket, 53% (80% of personal and 34% of Economic) of the Gore/Lieberman ticket, and 44% (84% of Personal and 26% of Economic) of Nader's ticket . If this were only a personal freedom contest than my order of preference of candidates would be something like Harry Browne, Ralph Nader, Al Gore, George Bush. If it were a purely economic race the running order would more likely look like George Bush, Harry Browne, Al Gore, Ralph Nader. Sure it's all just a bunch of numbers and statistics but I've always found such things to be pretty darn interesting. I'm somewhat shocked at the findings as generally I find George W. Pleasantville... I spent most of this weekend up in pleasant Pleasanton, home of TheCuteGirl. We caught an actual big screen showing of Waiting for Guffman which I had seen on video several years ago. Some go to work, some to play... I was in New York City last weekend for the first time in about three years. I went to see friends, shows, and to attend the Fynsworth Alley bash. I saw Dirty Blonde (yay Bob), Cabaret (boo Lea), Forbidden Broadway, and a workshop of cabaret/theatre songs in the 72 hours I was in town.
